Introducing other road agencies & local road names

The 131940 Traffic and Travel Information (TTI) website team will release two new features to the website. They include links to interstate traffic authorities and the display of local road names as well as official (state) road names.

To access the interstate traffic authorities users can select the relevant authority from the drop down menu [Choose a Region or State] at the top right of the page. At this point not all interstate authorities have links, the 131940 website team are working with all states to look at the best way possible to present this information.

At present we only show official (state) road names on the website, from today local names (road names that local residents may refer to) will also be displayed for all Traffic and Road Events, where applicable. The local names, which could total up to two, will be presented in brackets after the official (state) road name. Local road names are referred to as Aliases. For example, Frederick Street at Bardon is the local name for Rouen Road
  • Should there be one local name you will see Bardon - Rouen Road (Frederick Street) presented for the event.
  • Should there be two local names you will see Bardon - Rouen Road (Frederick Street, Babinda Street).
Users are only able to search the official (state) road name at this stage however, the 131940 TTI website team are constantly improving the site and this enhancement is in the process of being developed.

As we are using a number of data sources for this information, there may be inconsistences. We appreciate your patience whilst we work to improve the data quality. Should you find some instances where the local names are not correct, please contact us via the links below.
