Flooding and Wet Weather
Transport and Main Roads (TMR) provides updates on road conditions throughout the year, including the wet season, which is also commonly referred to as 'The Wet' between the months of November to April and during any major flood incident occurring across Queensland.
During the wet season, areas throughout Queensland can experience heavy rainfall, which can result in flooding and/or land slips, also roads can be affected by being cut off or washed away. This can cause the isolation of communities, industries and travellers.
Road closures, load restrictions and traffic management are some of the ways Transport and Main Roads (TMR) can manage road users and road assets.
