Central West
Welcome to the traffic and travel information web page for the Central West Region.
The region covers the Barcaldine, Blackall-Tambo and Longreach regional councils and Barcoo, Boulia, Diamantina and Winton shire councils. This region is serviced by the Main Roads Barcaldine office.
The region’s boundaries stretch from the peak of the Drummond Range east of Alpha to the Northern Territory border in the west and from south of Tambo almost to Kynuna in the north.
