Wide Bay / Burnett

This district covers the Bundaberg Regional, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire, Fraser Coast Regional, Gympie Regional, North Burnett Regional and South Burnett Regional councils.

The district stretches from Nanango in the south to Monto in the north and west from Eidsvold to the coastal cities of Bundaberg and Gympie in the east.

  • TUCHEKOI ROAD

    BOLLIER

    Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Various locations.
    Commencing: early December
    Concluding:late January, weather permitting
    Limited to one lane
    Delays expected. Reduced speed limit (40km/h).
    During the works, motorists may encounter stop-and-go traffic arrangements, single lane closures and reduced speed limits. At times during these works it will be necessary for single lane closures to be in place outside of work hours and when required, traffic signals will be in place to assist motorists. While every effort will be made to minimise the impacts, motorists may experience delays of five to fifteen minutes and should factor additional travel time to their journey.   • QUAY STREET

    BUNDABERG CENTRAL

    Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Various locations.
    Commencing: 16 November 2014
    Concluding:December 2014, weather permitting
    Lane or lanes reduced
    Delays expected. Reduced speed limit (40km/h).
    Works to construct pedestrian refuges along Quay Street will be undertaken at night between 6pm and 6am. No works will be conducted on Friday and Saturday evenings. Single-lane closures and speed restrictions will be in place as required.

  • RAINBOW BEACH ROAD

    COOLOOLA

    Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Between Tin Can Bay Road and Rainbow Beach.
    Commencing: early December
    Concluding:late January, weather permitting
    Limited to one lane
    Delays expected. Reduced speed limit (40km/h).
    During the works, motorists may encounter stop-and-go traffic arrangements, single lane closures and reduced speed limits. At times during these works it will be necessary for single lane closures to be in place outside of work hours and when required, traffic signals will be in place to assist motorists.   • MARY VALLEY ROAD

    LONG FLAT

    Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Near the Birt Road intersection.
    Commencing: September 2014
    Concluding:January 2015, weather permitting
    Partial lane closures
    Delays expected. Reduced speed limit (40km/h).
    Works will generally be undertaken between 6am and 6pm with 24-hour traffic control in place at times. To undertake the works and ensure the safety of motorists and road workers, traffic controllers, some temporary lane closures and speed restrictions will be used as required.
