Wide Bay / Burnett

This district covers the Bundaberg Regional, Cherbourg Aboriginal Shire, Fraser Coast Regional, Gympie Regional, North Burnett Regional and South Burnett Regional councils.

The district stretches from Nanango in the south to Monto in the north and west from Eidsvold to the coastal cities of Bundaberg and Gympie in the east.

    Between Reservoir Service Road and Sutton Street.

    Works will generally be undertaken between 6am and 6pm. Motorists should expect changed conditions and observe all safety signage.

  • BURNETT BRIDGE

    BUNDABERG CENTRAL

    Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Commencing: Sunday 26 July 2015, weather permitting
    Concluding:October 2015, weather permitting
    Road closed both directions
    No delays expected. Use alternative route.
    The temporary closure of the Burnett River Bridge between 6am and 5pm are scheduled for, weather permitting on:
    Sunday 26 July 2015
    Sunday 16 August 2015
    Sunday 6 September 2015
    Temporary night time closures of the bridge are schedule for betweeen 8pm and 5am for the next four months until October:
    Week one (starting 2 August) bridge closed Sunday to Thursday
    Week two (starting Sunday 9 August)bridge closed Monday to Thursday
    The weeks will then alternate as above between Sunday to Thursday and Monday to Thursday until October, weather permitting.
    During the closure, a signed detour via the Tallon Bridge will be in place to assist motorists with the changed conditions.

    Near Wongi State Forest, south of Torbanlea.

    Concluding:Late 2015, weather permitting

    Works will generally be undertaken from 6am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday. Motorists should expect changed conditions, including reduced speed limits and partial lane closures, while works are underway. Motorists are advised to expect changed conditions, including reduced speed limits and partial lane closures, while works are underway.     Planned Roadworks Both Directions
    Between Woondum and Venardos Avenue intersection.
    Commencing: Monday 27 July 2015, weather permitting
    Concluding:Mid-2016, weather permitting
    No blockage
    Delays expected. Changed traffic conditions.
    Cooroy to Curra - Section C: Traveston to Woondum early works underway between Woondum and Venardos Avenue.
    Expect changed traffic conditions, including speed reductions. Excess dimension vehicle restrictions - lane widths reduced to 3.25m.

  • MONTO MOUNT PERRY ROAD

    YARROL

    Between the Burnett Highway and Kerwee Road.
    Commencing: late January
    Concluding:late 2015, weather permitting
    Road closed both directions
    No delays expected. Allow extra travel time.
    Works to seal three sections of Monto-Mount Perry Road, between the Burnett River and Eastern Creek, are underway. A full road closure is in place between the Burnett Highway and Kerwee Road, and all through traffic will be detoured via Kerwee Road while works are underway. Access will strictly be provided for local traffic only. Motorists should allow additional travel time while using the detour. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause, and thank you for your patience and cooperation.
